Help!!!!,
I love my Saab. It's like a rocket-powered station wagon, but the TCS Control light has been coming on (twice while going down the highway) and the car goes into 'limp' mode. Last weekend, I had to drive 400 miles with the damn TCS light on. The throttle becomes very heavy, and the car is always trying to stall because it idles at about zero!!
My mechanic has a computer, and when he resets the fault code that puts me in 'limp', it runs fine.....until it happens again. Has anybody dealt with this. Any advice/help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I have an excellent mechanic (Saab trained), and he thinks we should take the passenger seat out and inspect the connections on the ETS, because the fault code says something like "no 30-volt signal on pin 22" of the ETS. Or should I replace the ETS unit? (UGH). He has said that the TCS system is a nightmare.
Car is 5-speed with 124k miles. Awesome car.....but I just don't trust it right now.
Thanks in advance. Paul Rogers
