who knows. How do you drive it? has the level always been kept halfway between MIN and MAX? Do you get up and go quickly in 1st gear? do a lot of downshifting? Ever gring reverse? The list can go on. I've used Amsoil 75W90 for 100K on a wildly modified '88 (modified for the same amount of time) The drawback to using the heavier weight (as opposed to 75W80) is clunkier shifting but....

I'm carefull with first gear, rarely downshift (3rd is the lowest I'll go), but I DO put the hammer down in 2nd, 3rd and 4th...but unfortunately at the expense of the tires:-) So....I have no doubt the 75W90 doing it's job. The first time I changed out 10W30 with only 5oookm on a fresh change and less of that on the modified engine, the oil had a metallic sheen to it, scary.

My 2 cents is that you shouldn't have use the 75W80 Redline. Also, Karl uses 75W90 quaker synthetic in his juiced 97 Aero.
