Rear seat is the big problem. At ± 1982 the backsides and mountings changed to such an extent that the only way to swap is to take off the upholstery and put that over the original carcas. The change was made when the metal wall that is with the older cars under the front of the seat was omitted so that you could put small objects under the seat. The locking mechanism of the sitting part changed then the lock on the backside with the noose to loosen it. I "up"dated the interior of my 1983 99 GL with that of a 1980 Turbo and the rear seat was the most extensive project. Had to take the whole thing apart and transplant the springs as well (at least of the vertical part, I don't remember de sitting bit anymore).
