|Saab Model 99 Bulletin Board|
I just bought a 74 EMS out of a group of 99 cars and parts located in LaPorte Indiana. I was hoping to find a fellow member to help me (paid help) to make sure the car is rolling before the transport arrives in the next two weeks. I'm in Texas.. not close at all.
Surprised this auction didn't make news here. A lot of 99's and parts - which will go crusher if not sold. It was easy to buy just one car, which I did sight unseen. If I cant find someone here (or on SAABcentral) to help I'll fly up next weekend and get the car rolling, plus buy everything I can afford to ship back to Texas. Apparently this was abandoned property and a construction co was hired to clear out the cars and parts and demolish the buildings, so no titles. A lot of stuff though. A few ems', possible a 99T, wheels, engines, etc. Some of the photos are behind awful, so If I go I'll make a careful accounting.
I'm considering flying and bringing a Uhaul van/trailer back, but not sure. Bad time of year for me to be on the road for that long.
Started with a few 99's back in 1983-1993, then thru three 900 SPGs, now 9-5 aeros... looks like I'm backtracking and starting over.
