i remember needing injector seals as well. not expensive and easy to install.
i just changed a bunch of seals when the engine was pulled and replaced the tensioner with one from an xk150 jag at mossmotors.com this fit and looked exactly like the one i pulled from the car. i could not source a "glue" for the chain guides so i re used those (asbestos was used back in '78 according to a long time engine rebuilder) anyways, with a new bearing for the upper transmission gear the car is super quiet now.

keep in mind; oil in the gear box is conventional with no sythetic at all.
i added synthetic to the engine and the lifter noise went away... for now;-)

maybe consider new brake lines for the front. i found those at a good price and im so glad i did, the old ones were really brittle.

i have blown a lot of radiator fan fuses over the last couple years and i believe i tracked it down to a corroded connector at the left front corner.. maybe get a few of those:-)
i also pulled the fans out (rebuilt the radiator) and lubricated the bearings with turbine oil "with ZOOM spout!" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0029NHARC/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0029NHARC&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork
this stuff is amazing, it even quieted the air cabin sensor COMPLETELY in my 9000

i have the water pump removal tool if you need to borrow it. we can work something out.

so glad you got a hold of this car!
im on facebook, saab restoration guys are really cool, see about joining that group.
