You know how to check the injectors, right? Remove them while still connected to fuel lines and put them in a container like a gallon milk jug with holes in the side. Then remove the rubber boot on the air intake to expose the air sensor plate. Then remove the fuel pump relay and jumper connectors 30 and 87 so the pump is running. Finally, lift the air regulator plate and observe the fuel flow through the injectors. That will give you an idea if they are working correctly. I'm sure I don't need to remind about the danger of working around open gasoline here....
Other thoughts: check for restricted exhaust system. Also, check the coil. When it starts to fail, it's usually at elevated temperatures. Also try running the car with the jumper in place of the fuel pump relay. I've experienced problems with this frequently in the past. Oh, and also check that all fuses are making good contact by "rolling" them in their holder. The fuse box with it's riveted connections is notorious.
Hope that helps. Maybe others will have some thoughts
