We tried a setup like that but found it lacking plenum volume and not happy until it was twisted too tight. Now i have the full machine shop to build a decent manifold with nice long runners.
Later we fitted a CIS system to the Racecar. It worked but the mapping with CIS is a bit hard with the big cams. No Vac at idle.
Video of it spinning the rollers on my dyno with the CIS in the link. You can look around there and see some of my other projects. Aurbags in my 95 ;)
