Adjusting the clutch helped maybe a little... Posted by BAAB [Email] (#1214) [Profile/Gallery] (more from BAAB) on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 21:14:19 In Reply to: Is my clutch slipping? I adjusted my clutch to a much better place, but I still feel slippage in 3rd & 4th gear if I accelerate hard. It might be a little improved, but not much.
What I did notice was a lot of oil all over the drivers side of the engine. Maybe it is getting on the clutch too.
So it looks like I need to replace some seals and gaskets for starters, but I will also replace the clutch (with the recommended improvements to the rivets) in addition to a few engine upgrades while everything is out :-)
Here is what I have in mind:
- Lightened flywheel
- Hardened valve seats
- Rotating assembly balance
What else do you recommend?
Much thanks!
I have a lot of future driving planned for my beloved 96!
