Well I set the timing using the Ashcraft method of disconnecting all plug wires except number one and then having someone crank the engine while I use the light.
Car runs well. Accelerates really good, but will not idle worth a hoot. Just can't keep it running at an idle speed of about 850 (by ear). As soon as I get it settled down, it dies. Replaced plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, even a new Weber carb and put in a 165 main jet.
Will keep playing with the air/fuel mixture. Maybe that will help.
Any suggestions appreciated.
