That is a staggering amount of work, Eric. THANK YOU for saving another Vintage Saab.
My old 1969 96V4 dutifully soldiered on for over 30 years before suffering catastrophic front suspension failure due to body rust. A guy in Oregon GAVE ME a 96 rust free body many years ago and I have kept it squirreled away until now :oP Does the fact that I paid $800 to have it shipped to Massachusetts and then kept it in my basement for over 20 years mean I hate rust repair even more than you do? Assuming I lived long enough (and apparently I did) this is to be my "retirement" project. I am beginning to source parts on the internet and the world is our supermarket .... BUT can I trust suspension bolts from India and Hydraulic lines from Uraguay. Are those the parts everyone is using? Yikes! I can hear old dead Engineers cursing in Swedish from their graves!!!
