16 oz to 7gallons of Shell premium fuel. Any oil you add to the gasoline leans out the mixture, because it does not burn the way gasoline does. So the old school thought of adding extra oil to the fuel for better lubrication is really not good.
Buy the best two stroke oil you can find and run a 50:1 mixture.
Avoid the outboard oils that are tcw certified, they are designed to break-down really easily in water to minimize pollution.
The low fuel light on a 95 or 96 is really telling you that you can add 8 gallons of fuel, so it's easy to add a pint of oil to 7 gallons at fill-up.
