Oil Pressure ?? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board

My motor / completely rebuild and running strong (~110 hp). I'm getting around 55 ~ 60 PSI on my VDO electric oil pressure gauge. This reading is typical on a 70 mph cruise around the 5250 RPM range. At idle it settles confidently around 40 PSI. I have to account for the fact that not many motors are "highway cruising" on 5250 RPMs (or have a 2-stroke transmission behind them).
I'm not worried about oil pressure per se as much as accuracy. I'm not 100% confident the VDO sensor (~resistance) and gauge are properly matched either.
I'm wondering what others are getting as PSI.
