1996 Saab 900 Power Antenna - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have a 1996 Saab 900 S Convertible. It has 46,000 miles.
When I bought it, the radio did not seem to get good reception in FM and none in AM.
I brought it to a stereo place and they told me the problem was that the tuner in the radio was bad.
I have just replaced the original stereo with a Pioneer unit. The FM reception is better, but I still do not get any AM.
My power antenna seems to work fine. So I am not sure what it could be the problem.
I called a Saab dealer and they told me it could be that the antenna is not grounded well. But the stereo place tells me it could be a bad antenna. I still get FM though.
I don't want to replace the antenna and find that still does not work properly.
Has anybody experience similar problem?
