new plugs, new points, all gapped to factory manual specs. How do you adjust mixture on this carb? It has a fixed needle with an anti-tamper plug to prevent you from messing with it. All I could figure out was that you had to take off the float chamber and adjust the jet orafice thingy the needle goes into. Am i missing something? This seems too complicated a process to do something as simple as adjust the mixture!? I'll check the distributor, but what is "back to front" if the dist. was in this way would the vacuum advance attached to the dist. be pointed towards the engine? What is dwell angle? (forgive my ignorance) Thanks for the help. I have read the Haynes manual on these carbs cover to cover and I actually understand how a carb. works now!
