Yipeee........
At long last I have found a rear sway bar from an 86 aeroT 900 and put it on my 1972 99 two door. This must have been one of the simplest mods I have done to my 99 and I am most impressed by the results. Understeer is almost gone and the car feels much more solid around corners. The back end has not steped out yet, but I am yet to drive it in the rain or on loose gravel!
My next job is to swap the front suspension with a 99Turbo setup and find a front sway bar and new front shocks. Unfortuately being in Australia I am unlikely to find one here and will have to import one (eeek....I hope the Aussie dollar gets a little stronger!)
Does anyone know where I can get/order a front sway bar for my 99?
Also is it worth fitting a front swaybar in the first place? ie Will the a front sway bar make a big difference or is it the rear that makes all the difference? (I use the car as a daily driver and for road rallies and hillclimbs)
Happy Saabing
