Good guess.

The topic of Saabs came up on the Porsche board I frequent (surprising how many owners of older Porsches are Saab fans or owners), and I remembered that I'd always thought them cool. I need a daily driver as my old Mercedes is falling apart. My wife and I looked at pics of Saabs on eBay and she really likes the C900 convertibles. I'm thinking of something to take my daughter skiing, so am considering a hatchback (is that what you call them?) too. The Porsche guys told me the cars drive well, the engines are robust, the transmissions are weak, parts are expensive (hard to imagine, compared to Porsche parts), and the cars are DIY-able. So, I decided to investigate further.
