To say the motor mounts are bad is a bit general. The motor mounts are not necessarily harder on the 900 than other vehicles, in fact, it isn't tough at all for the passenger and transmission mount. The driver side can be done with the engine in the car but usually requires the use of special tricks (in other words, it helps to have done it before a few times).
Usually the passenger side is the bad one since the turbo heat kills them regularly. I think it costs about $60 - $100 for each mount.
The PS pump being bad isn't too much trouble to fix, but I would wonder if the steering rack is bad, which is a bit of trouble.
Look for rust. Rust can be the deal breaker, not motor mounts. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car and change out all the motor mounts, steering rack and even transmission, but rust,,, no easy fix for that.
The roof can be expensive to have fixed, about 1,500, but you can buy one and do it yourself for $600.
