Turbo Blown - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Just got the car, dropped $1200 on the nav...now I think I blew the turbo.
History: I have had the car 2 months, showing it off to friends, I did 4 0-60 hard launches, car was not totally cold, but could have been warmer, and I foolishly put it away without idling it for 30 seconds. About a week later, I notice oil drops in the garage, look under it and oil coming from the airways after the turbo. I had my indy look at it, he cleaned out the oil from the airways, and noticed that the engine oil had been OVERFILLED by a quart (I should have noticed this).
Any chance I just "one time" blew through the oil seals?
Are there any logical turbo upgrades to choose instead of stock? I don't want to mess with the engine management, just the turbo.
