The fast idle is normal although it is a bit disconcerting. The car is flushing out some leftover exhaust from the prior drive or some such thing. There's a brief discussion of it somewhere in the owners manual. I tried looking for it to no avail so I could give you a page number. Relax. All is as it should be.
