Re: NG 9-5 taillight repairs - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have ordered a replacement driver's side tail lamp from Norway (used) GM part #12776357 so I may have a spare you're welcome to experiment on (allows in water/condensation). What I am more interested in then money is getting the damn tail lights to work properly. I've done everything with new sockets/bubs, etc. I actually had a visteon socket that worked for a long time because the terminal connections at the bulb and socket literally soldered themselves together. That is the only "fix" I've seen. I am not interested in doing the LED wiring conversion and put in a request to one of these LED conversion companies to see if they would make a bulb with the necessary resistance to be a direct replacement so we will see (probably won't amount to anything). I'm hoping this used tail light gets to me safely, I found a new one in Italy which was stolen off my front porch on delivery. Let me know what you'd be interested in paying for the tail light and I'll let you know how much it costs to ship.
