Thanks for the input.
I sent him to an independent a few blocks from where he lives that had good yelp reviews. It wasn't my first choice, but I don't want him driving far - he said it's a steady drip when the car is running. I'm hoping the indy will either a) find something simple (loose or bad hose) and fix it or b) find something worse (water pump or ?) that he feels qualified to fix or send him away... at which point the Buick dealer will be the next choice.
I know the LaCrosse uses the same platform (visually impaired people used to argue about the NG 9-5 looking too much like a LaCrosse), although I'm pretty sure the newer Chevy Impala is also using the same platform. Then again, neither the Chevy or Buick used this 2.8 v6 (turbo or not), correct? On the other hand, Cadillac probably sold so few turbo 2.8s, it doesn't really help that they once did.
