Dead Battery, can I use a areo battery for a 4 cyl???? Posted by seth1065 [Email] (#1464) [Profile/Gallery] (more from seth1065) on Mon, 13 Aug 2018 16:56:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ok a little help here, I was at costco today in the pouring rain in NJ and my 2011 9-5 4 cyl would not start, the dash flashed and said no remote found, then the odometer went to 000000 from about 98,000 miles, then all lights died, I assume just a dead battery right??? Of course costco did not have a battery for the 4 cyl but had the areo battery, not sure if there is a difference, can I either jump the car to get it started, I understand a portable charger is not recommended , according to the manual. I have had the car a few years and have no idea how old the battery is. What do you folks think, jump it and get it to my indie for a new battery or call triple A and get a tow? I would prefer the jump start but do not want any issues. Thanks in advance
