Just bought a new Saab from a GM dealer. Its the dealer them-self that warranty the car. Not GM, sort of like a fly by night warranty to give the buyer some sort of comfort. Its 100% up to the buyer. The prices of Saab's have ben darn near cut in half, just bought a 36,000 9-3 Aero for 21,000 the dealer asked if I wanted there in-house warranty, where the warranty was very selective on exactly what was under warranty for an added cost.

Going through the fine print next to nothing is under warranty, the dealer warranties the trans, motor but that's about it. They will tack on the extra cost for there warranty when your in signing the papers when they ask you if you want road-side assistance, dent removal, exc.

I never found out how much the dealer warranty was because when they said it was a very minimal warranty and they are really under no obligation to honor it, of course I said no.

When a person has a thing like Saabnet its all the warranty one needs. Thanks Scott!!
