I ordered my spare from the local dealer. The part# is 32015425.
I'd be curious as to what you think of the Conti ProContact tires. I found them to be abysmal: excessively loud, harsh and just all-around bad. The best thing that can be said about them is that they look like a tire and hold air to boot.
At the time I bought the car I also purchased a set of Michelin Alpin snow tires. They were mounted onto the car within a week or so after buying the car. The Alpin's were far better, even as a general purpose tire than the Conti's.
When I had the snows removed for the season a couple of weeks ago, I traded the Conti's (with only 1100 miles) for a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE970's.
I also looked at Michelin Pilot Super Sport's but after a lot of research and on the advice of the salesman where I bought them, I thought the Potenza's were the better choice. They appear to perform much better in light snow than the Michelin's which, given where I live, is very important. In every way imaginable the Potenza is a better tire than the ProContact.
Some reviews of the new 9-5 were especially critical of the high level of road noise plus the harsh and jittery nature of the ride. I'd say that's a pretty fair assessment of the car with the Conti ProContact's. After driving the car for about 800 miles over a couple of days, I really questioned whether I had made the right decision in buying it. My experience with the Michelin Alpin's and Bridgestone Potenza's allows me to say "yes".
At your earliest opportunity, dump the Conti's!
