Go to saabparts.com and get the list of authorized service repair places. This site will also sell you good extended warrants and there are three levels of protections and multiple years/miles. They will quote you the cost based on year and miles. I think 75k or 80k is the maximum miles they will allow for a quote. These service centers have the new/different TechII (or whatever it's called) for software and programming of the NG 9-5.

For wear/tear items, many places have those parts since they are GM parts. So brakes, alternators, belts, pads, water pumps, shocks, sensors, etc., are not an issue. Trim and dealer only parts availability is better now versus a few years ago. I know the XWD/AWD has a fluid service interval to maintain the the fluid is a bit expensive, but don't know more details. I hear the heated seats and turn signals have been achellies heels so see if previous owner has fixed those items. Availability of those specific parts are not an issue.

The Harmon Kardon is the upgraded and superior system and not standard so look for that upgrade. The Aero's have the sport seats and very few with vented/cooled, those are hard to find considering only about 10k of the NG were built. All of the NG's have heated seats.

Look to the left of the shifter and you will see the Aero's have the round knob for three types of driving, sport, comfort and a third. Below that is up to three buttons, the top is parking sensors, followed by lane departure warning and lastly I am told a button that will help parallel park the car. Finding an Aero or Premium (4 cylinder) with all three buttons is hard. The Premium models come with the top button parking sensors.

I hope this helps!
