I've bought a 1995 Saab 900. It had a squealing fan belt. I sprayed some fan-belt friction on it and the squeal went away. But reading the manual, it says that the belt tensioner should be checked. As the belt seems to be near impossible to see or access, how does one check the tensioner? I have removed the RF wheel and the access panel and still can't see anything except the crankshaft. I suppose this is supposed to be an easy job, but any hints for me? How do I check the tension? How do I adjust the tension?
