First, since you have an '01 model, you will have to buy a device called a Triad to make your phone work. (This is because of the way OnStar is integrated into the car now - lucky you.) Search for Triad on the 9-5 board and you will find info on where to purchase and how much. The good news is that everyone seems to be pleased with the setup once it's installed. You will also have to buy the harness, the hands free kit from the Qualcomm, an antenna (though it may work through the shark fin with the Triad), and everyone recommends the small mount from Saab. The installation of the phone kit itself doesn't seem to be a big deal. The hardest part would be the removal of the glove box and the passenger side footwell panel.
Now, about the Qualcomm - I looked for some advice on this phone a few months ago, but it seems no one has tried this one yet. "Fortunately", I dropped that phone in a puddle of water, so I replaced it with a Nokia, since I knew that would work. I got the full Nokia car kit from Amazon.com last week for less than $100. Good deal. Still waiting for the mount and harness from Saab. There is a document that someone put together with detailed instructions (see my post below) - if I can find it, I'll send you a copy.
