As the subject line suggest, different cars for different people. I have a 9-3 with two girls 2 and 4. I am 6'3". and the only thing I can say is both girls feet are pushed up against both FRT seats, when they are in the jumper seats in the back. Conclusion? too small even for the 2 year old. The 9-5 wagon or sedan is built off of the 9000 platform which is a little wider and consequently a little roomier but not that much. True the back with darkened windows may be more comfortable for the dog. BUT overall the carrying capacity is not what I would call really significant. What would I buy if I were to do it all over again? a 9-5 wagon of course....But before you cheer allow me to explain My wife drives a brand new nissan Minivan and I drive the saab. She totes the kids to day care and everywhere else. prior to this Minivan purchase, we traded in a Volvo 960T wagon for the extra room. We have never regretted it and we were self professed Minivan haters- "wouldn't get caught dead in one" that sort of thing. All saabs are cool and fun to drive, but they are no Minivan. Just a suggestion to someone who might be jumping into a four year loan on a car that will depreciate, will appear to be much smaller the moment a couple of baby seats are strapped in and all the "stuff" kids needed for the day. Oh and that means the dog is left at home. Don't flame me, I am one of saabs biggest advocates, but as the subject line suggests....
Oh and as far as that poster about crash test... I don't know what he is reading but it wasn't acrash test for a modern minivan.
