I have the exact same problem with my 2001 SE with 63,000 miles. The climate control for me will randomly turn on full heat with full fan for about 10 seconds, during which time the panel only says 22. After this is over the system freezes up and the panel says o for about a min. Then it all resets and everything works fine again. This has been going on for about a year for me, and the dealer says there is nothing they can do because they never see the problem. My radio very randomly does the same thing where it gets no power and the car must be restarted. I have never noticed the on star issue, but I dont use it so I probably just never looked. Any help would be appreciated.
