We've got a 2001 with 55k miles & it's been pretty reliable. I've had HondAcuras with breakdowns, so there's nothing magic about brands, either.
Keep up with the maintenance, but I'll suggest ignoring the manual for one thing. Your owner's manual probably says to use semi-synthetic oil, but you'll be better with full-synthetic. If you've searched this board, you've probably seen the stuff about oil sludging...
