My guess is that the pressure is low normally, but just over that needed to trigger the idiot light.
Probably one or the other of the previous suggestions, possibly (maybe even likely) both.
Just having bearings and pump done on wife's 96 900SET. Obviously been running low pressure--but didn't know it because pressure sended unit was not working for ????mlonths or years.
