Start with new plugs and gap them at the lower end of the range, about .9mm. If that doesn't change anything, then the DI may be suspect. OR.... When the BPC (boost pressure control solenoid) dies it usually keeps you at base boost or wild over boost, which are not the symptoms you're seeing. But it's possible yours is on it's way to failing at base boost and is just not quite there. (I've had them die in numerous ways.) Some people have had success cleaning the BPC with a household cleaner like Fantastic, then drying it out. I've had some luck with CRC Electronic Part Cleaner, but for me it has only prolonged the inevitable. Posts in this Thread:
