I use Bosch MicroEdge Excel wiper blades on my 1998 900SET. They come as a complete assembly (blade and frame). I buy mine at NAPA for about $12 US. The Bosch reference book calls for 21 " wipers in the front and a 20" wiper for the rear. I personally use 21" wipers all around. That way if something happens to a front wiper, I can use the rear wiper until I get a replacement.
I also use Bon Ami powered cleanser about twice a year to throughly clean the windshield. Bon Ami will not scratch the glass like Comet or other cleansers will.
I don't use Rain-X because i drive mainly in the city. I also don't like having to reapply the Rain-X every month or so.
