Doesn't "SE" designate the B204R engine vs nonSE B204L? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board

On o'reilly's (local parts store) site, when choosing your car, they list 1999 saab 9-3 this way:
Select Model and Engine
Base -- L4 - 2.0L vin N 1985cc type B204L - MFI GAS DOHC Turbo-charged
SE -- L4 - 2.0L vin P 1985cc type B204R - MFI GAS DOHC Turbo-charged
Viggen -- L4 - 2.3L vin G 140ci 2290cc type B235R - MFI GAS DOHC Turbo-charged
I am confused...
Anders, You said if the 8th digit is an "N" I have a base B204L. My 8th digit is an "N" but my model is a 5-speed SE with red DIC... How can I know if it's B204R or L? besides vin? Or are you sticking to your guns and I was wrong about having a HOT all this time?
Thanks for any clarification.
