You're post confuses some of us, as generally leasing v buying vehicles is more a study of how long one typically keeps a vehicle, business applications, and applicable tax advantages---not to mention the low monthly lease payment.
If you are leasing a 2000 or 2001, service is included, plus SAAB's warranty, so you should be okay.
I have a '98 NG 900T CV and a '99 9-3 HOT both exhibiting excellent excellent reliability and dependability.
Thoroughly test drive the car you are thinking of acquiring. Get out of the buyers fog and get fussy about that ride. If you feel uneasy about fit/finish, or something blah blah blah, go to another dealer/another color/ to get the best one.
