I've been using AMSOIL 0W-30 since it came on the market some years ago.
Currently running it in an 85 900T, 88 9000T, 85 Volvo 245 turbo, and 90 Dodge 1 ton van.
A 0W- will pump up faster on startup, but will be in the SAE viscoty range at operating temperatures. The manufacturer must label it at the best cold performance it will attain, so a 0W- has already beaten the 10W- and 5W- cold requirements.
My son-in-law changed his 96 900T from AMSOIL 10W-30 to 0W-30. If he had to pay for the oil, it would have cost him about $10 more for a fill. He got 50-75 miles more per tankful after the change.
AMSOIL 0W-30 will give better protection against wear than any of the Mobil 1 blends.
If I couldn't (or wouldn't) use AMSOIL, I'd use Mobil 1 0W-30.
