Without a doubt, the best high performance tire I have ever driven, wet or dry. Absolutely amazing grip. I drove the horrid OE Pilot HX's on the car, and the S02's are a world apart as far as wet grip, dry grip and steering response. Phenomenal high performance tires, if that's what you're looking for. No problems with fit. Mounted on 17x8 Borbet Type T's.
If you don't want to buy 17" wheels, I beleive you would get 80% of the performance benefit of these tires in a 205/55/16. If you haven't upgraded suspension and engine, that would be plenty for the car. I have done a bunch of stuff to my '97 convertible. See the link for photos and upgrades. The car also LOOKS so much better lowered, and with the beefier +1 wheels and tires. I'm waiting for a replacement tire (I ruined one by running it flat. Stupid.) and have one of my winters mounted. The 205's look wimpy in comparison...
Dan
P.S. I drive Pirelli Winter 210 Asymetricos 205/50/16 suring the snow season in New England. Decent performance on snow and ice. Nearly as good as the Pilot HX's on dry roads in terms of grip and steering response. Damn good dry performance for a winter tire!
