Seems a little high on the labor side, depending on labor rate.
If doing both sides, two stanchions and two control arms would be about $850 (per eEuro's pricing on Genuine SAAB parts. Aftermarket is cheaper.) for the basic parts. My indie did my left control arm and sway bar link last year on my 99 Viggen for about $375 which included 1.5 hours labor. I've been reading Platonoff's instructions on stanchions and control arm bushings to DIY a 2000 Viggen soon and I can't see that the stanchions would add even an hour to that if replacing the entire part, so I'd think 4 hours or less for someone with a lift and knows what they're doing.
i doubt both your stanchion arms AND both your control arms are broken and NEED to be replaced, but it is probably much faster for them than removing and replacing the bushings, which are more likely worn. If you do replace the arms, see if you can hang on to the unbroken arms. A shame to trash good arms. Replace the bushings and you've got spares for yourself or to sell to a fellow enthusiast on a budget.
