Hello,
Your car would have come with the 8mm fill plug so that is correct. For the drain plug usually if you are using a 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch drive socket it will not fit without cutting it down. A 1/4 inch drive socket or wrench will usually fit without being modified. So I would think there is nothing out of the ordinary. You can check the number on the transmission and post it to see if it is correct for you model and year. I don't have a list with me or I would post the number your car should have. Good Luck, Bernie
