Any opinions on a good alternative to the Boge/Sachs shock? Looking to maintain OEM feel, ride, and performance.
Car (1995 900S B234 NA) has about 283,000 miles so I'm not looking to create a hard-driving autocrosser here. Would rather spend money on front end if needed down the road (struts and other suspension parts that just may be at end of service life). The board says avoid Monroe, so I will.
Given that the Bilstein B4's are less than Sachs, would they perform equal to Saab OEM vis a vis performance and figment? Thanks in advance.
BTW I EXPECT I'll be replacing front struts in a few months so opinions welcomed there as well, and whether I should stick to one brand for all or is it acceptable to have fronts be one brand and rears another.
My goal when I purchased vehicle in 1995 was to get 300,000 miles out of it, and now that I'm 18,000 miles shy of that goal I might have to set a new one!
