Vert owners, inspect the inside of your top

Hi,
After detailing the inside of the vehicle today, as I put the top up it seemed to get stuck on something for a moment but closed as normal afterward. I was curious as to what might have happened, so I put the top down again and a large tear in the vinyl on top of the tonneau cover was revealed :(. I put the top back up, then inspected behind the cloth liner and found that the passenger's side rear window support link (part 4858726) had broken where the metal connects with the plastic ball joint. As this metal linkage was floating freely, it ripped into the vinyl when the roof was put up. It is an ugly looking hole, but the part that broke was quite easy to find and relatively inexpensive.
So if you fellow convertible owners have a couple of spare minutes you may want to do a quick inspection of the inside rear of the top to make sure all is as it should be!
Cheers
-EM
