Hello, I would check that inner tripod bearing. There was actually a bulletin on how to locate the clamp because if the crimp on the clamp is located over the thick rubber sections on the boot grease can escape from the edge of the boot with no holes. The original grease looks a light tan and will get slung around this area. This leads to a severe vibration under acceleration when it wears that requires the intermediate shaft with the cup portion being replaced as well as the tripod bearing. I usually recommend repacking this joint when someone picks up one of these cars as well as every 30,000 miles or so. Good Luck, Bernie
