Replacing serpentine belt...tensioner too, or just the pulley?

I have the belt, the idler pulley and a brand new tensioner with pulley. Question is, do I need to bother with the tensioner itself? Car is a 2001 Viggen with ~45k miles that only gets driven in the winter.
It has the original idler pulley (still!) and belt with no issues at all. I presume it's because it's not seen any winters and the low mileage.
Is there a point in replacing the tensioner assembly? If not, I will just do the pulleys and keep the assembly. But since I already have it on hand...
