It's interesting to compare the failed systems on similar cars at the same age/mileage.
Between 150K and 200K...
Replaced original muffler.
Replaced leaking head gasket.
Replaced original alternator.
Replaced belt tensioner.
Welded driver-rear top shock mount (But rust is not universal, so I'm skipping the rest of the rust issues).
Reverse gear key-lock worn.
Replaced MAP sensor.
Replaced throttle position sensor.
Replaced retractable antenna.
I dropped the oil pan. The state of the gasket-sealing material made me think it had never been done. There was absolutely no grunge. Just some metal chips lodged in the pickup screen.
