no, is it possible you misunderstand sir,? the Saab (and many 0ther high end /luxury cars) come( or in case of the Saab used to come, equipped, OEM w/ these fixed , fitted "cornering lamps " and have for 70 years ! apparently, saab stopped it in MY 2000 (my 99 '9-3 SE had them) and I'm told the older 900 and 9000 Saab had them too! The way they work is a bright, white light illuminates only the side of the road where you are turning - Independent of the flashing turn signal! and, it stays on only whilst the turn signal is flashing then extinguishes until called upon again to light the way!( they have a good cut-off and do not blind oncoming drivers !) they are VERY helpful ! and are, well, as we say "trick "! the place for these lights is already in the (USA at least ) OG 9-3 fog light housing just covered w/ a chrome plug easily removed. you may note that some models of cars have lights that move w/ the steering wheel even the 1948 Tucker had one !(and later model saabs ! ) so that would be an approximation ? I hope this clears it up eh? kind regards, as you say "all the best "! neil
