Wow a great reminder of the fact that the # 1 MOST common cause of poor engine running /car issues is a bad ground (or a bad battery ! ) (say it like scolding a naughty child or a dog !:" BAD GROUND! BAD GROUND "!) Why not conceptualise your electrical system as the heart , veins and arteries , the vascular system of your car ! keep the heart pumping! give the alternator, battery wires components a transplant if they need one! Make sure there are NO "blockages"! poor connections are the occluded arteries of the electrical system give them a stent! let the electrons flow smoothly! Here is a suggestion, I always make, (or you can buy ) an extra ground connection cable(s) to the engine AND chassis/frame ! an easy fix and will prevent a veritable plethora of electrical malfunctions and as you discovered, MAKE MORE HP! and not to pile on , but as you learned to throw parts at a problem won't necessarily fix it but at least those parts are new now ! always start w/ the battery and connections w/ multiple ground cables? you probably wouldn't have had a problem! regards,
