on the diagnostics data link connector (OBD, 16 pin connector on lower dash that you connect to), there should be pins in positions 4,5,7,8,14,16. The only red wire is at #16 (lower row right hand side, looking at the connector), and that is 12V power. Pins 4,5 are chassis & signal ground (color is black). On my car ('02 Viggen), pin 7 is yellow/blue, and that is the data K-line. Pin 14 is white, I think that goes to the fuel pump relay? Pin 8 is white/black, goes to ABS/SRS control modules. Not sure if other models/year use different colors...
