Saab 9-3 temporarily won't start - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have a 2001 Saab 9-4 4cyl turbo. About a month ago I drove it, arrived at my destination, and turned it off. I went to turn it back on about 20 minutes later and it sounded like it was trying to turn over but didn't start. An hour after that it did start. This scenario has recurred twice.
Once I called AAA but by the time they arrived it started. They replaced the battery because it was older, even though that wasn't the root of the problem.
I have been looking online and it appears this might be a vapor lock issue. Is anybody familiar with this? What could be the cause? Any recommendations on what to do?
