I appreciate it!
Out of curiosity, have you observed any issues with torque converter hub wear? This leak issue is just escaping me and I'm exploring all angles. I checked out two transmissions from the same yard I got my two, and both have perfectly smooth torque converter hubs. The one I have on the stand has some severe grooving near the base. It *could* be wear from the very, very edge of the pump bushing, but it seems more likely to be seal wear. And, the edge of the bushing seems good and it's much softer than the torque converter hub for sure. It seems unlikely a rubber seal could wear a groove into steel in 1500 miles, and unfortunately I didn't inspect before install. I'm going to pull the transmission from the car soon and see what it looks like. Seems unlikely I could get two damaged TCs in a row, so then I gotta figure out what could wear out torque converter hubs like that. :|
Oh, also, have you ever seen the Saab tool for pulling the pump? I've got a part number, but nobody I've talked to has ever seen it. :)
