Ah, thank you for clarifying the difference between wine and whine-spelling is important to accuracy; I would like to say I had too much of the one in pursuit of the other but its just not true. I appreciate all responses! Did the Quaife come with a straight cut first gear? The "whine" in first does not go away with an increase of use, temperature, or wine. It's not horrible and all other gears sound exactly like my wife's Viggen. I do notice that the short throw shifter is much slower on the downshift than the stock shifter on the wife's car-I was attributing this to the Quaife. Is this correct? I apologize for all the questions but I lack the experience driving this car as stock and then upgrading...I skipped the development part and went straight to warp speed. Thanks for the information!
